How I got here
THE BACKGROUND BIT.
I studied sociology at the University of Warwick, which turned out to be surprisingly useful for understanding why people buy things, what makes them scroll past, and what gets them to click.
After graduating, I fell into health and wellness marketing and spent several years building social media, content and campaigns for some of the biggest names in women's health — including the world's fastest-growing menopause clinic. It was intense, fast-paced, and taught me more than any course ever could.
Now I work for myself, taking on the brands and businesses I genuinely care about — from health clinics and local businesses to the Stratford Literary Festival, which, as a local and a lifelong reader, was a bit of a dream.
flexible
No packages, no rigid retainers, and definitely no being invoiced for a fifteen-minute phone call. I work in the way that makes sense for your business - a dedicated day a week, a fixed-fee project, or a few hours when things come up.
THE WAY I DO THINGS.
Personal
I take on a small number of clients at a time, on purpose. It means the work gets proper attention rather than being squeezed in between seventeen other things. You're not an account number here.
How I work
HONEST
I'll tell you what I think, recommend what makes sense, and won't dress it up in jargon to sound impressive. If something isn't working, we talk about it.
outside of work
THE REST OF IT.
I'm based in Stratford-upon-Avon, which means I'm never far from a decent pub, a secondhand bookshop, or a Shakespeare-related tour. I've lived here long enough to love it, know the good pubs, and where to get the best cocktails.
Outside of work, I read a lot, listen to too many podcasts (Table Manners, Off Menu, the Rewatchables, Desert Island Discs, to name a few), and spend a disproportionate amount of time thinking about my Spotify Wrapped. The Stratford Literary Festival is one of my favourite weekends of the year, and I once got to ask Larry Lamb a Gavin and Stacey question while working it. Career highlight. I'm not taking questions.
I write when I can - my Substack, it will be a little messy, is where that goes. I have strong opinions about kitchen discos, even stronger ones about pink shirts, and my idea of a good time is curating the perfect Pinterest board. (Also, I can't have caffeine, so I have to find other ways to stay sharp.)
